Connecting a state as large and diverse as Texas.
Meeting the broadband needs of Texas requires a mix of technologies and providers. The Texas Broadband Association represents the full range of companies working to expand connectivity across the state.
Ensuring all Texans can get and stay connected means we support multi-layered broadband infrastructure. Especially in times of crisis or disaster, that mix is what keeps people communicating and connected.
Building out the infrastructure and deploying the technology needed to reach every Texan could cost as much as $10 billion, according to the Texas Comptroller’s Office. Maintaining and improving those technologies and networks will require sustained investment as well.
Meeting our state’s broadband needs requires a commitment to public policies that cut through the red tape and roadblocks that undermine investment and thwart needed progress.
With a business and regulatory climate that encourages investment, Texas can accelerate the deployment of effective broadband to meet the needs of our growing state.
With sound legislative and regulatory policies, we can get Texans connected for generations to come.
